Report
Senior European Championships (Ostende – june 2018)
You are sitting South (Dealer South – N/S Vul.) with the following hand:

The auction goes as follows:

West leads the King of Diamonds and the dummy comes down:

Contract: 5♠.
Lead: ♦K (the six from dummy and the three from East.)
What is the number of your immediate winners?
You have nine, with six Spades and three Hearts.
Where can you find the two missing ones?
The ideal solution would be to set up your fourth Heart after drawing trumps and to discard one of dummy’s Clubs. In that case you would only lose two tricks in the suit, even if the Ace is offside.

You first need to ruff diamonds, setting up an elimination and endplay.
What will you do?
